PRIVATEFLY APPOINTS GREGG SLOW IN NEW ROLE TO HEAD ITS USA DIVISION
August 20, 2019
The charter booking platform accelerates ‘next level’ growth plans, with a new leadership role for the US region
Private charter platform PrivateFly, a Directional Aviation company, has announced the appointment of Gregg Slow as President for the Americas.
Slow joins PrivateFly’s senior leadership team to head the US division of the company, which operates from a US HQ in Boston and a sales office in Fort Lauderdale, with further sales teams based across the country. The US now accounts for half of PrivateFly’s global flight sales, illustrated by its latest quarterly trends report.
Slow brings 19 years of business aviation experience to the newly created role, most recently from his seven-year tenure at XOJET where, as Chief Client Officer, he built the commercial client-facing offering and assisted in the company’s acquisition by Vista Global. Previously he was Senior Vice President for NetJets, where he spent 12 years focused on the New York City territory.
At PrivateFly, Slow will head up commercial development and provide leadership in the Americas, with co-founder Adam Twidell - who launched PrivateFly in 2008 - continuing as Global CEO. PrivateFly became part of Directional Aviation’s OneSky family of business aviation solutions in September 2018, alongside Flexjet and Sentient Jet.
The appointment news follows PrivateFly’s launch of exclusive fixed pricing on both sides of the Atlantic earlier this summer: Cross Country routes on the Challenger 300 in the US, and ‘City Pairs’ routes within Europe on the Nextant 400XTi and Legacy 600.
Gregg Slow commented: “I am absolutely delighted to join PrivateFly at such a time of opportunity for the company. There is huge passion and energy both within the team and as a client-facing brand. And with Directional Aviation’s OneSky behind us, we have a unique and compelling proposition in the market, on which we can now accelerate growth.”
Adam Twidell, CEO of PrivateFly, said: "Gregg brings a wealth of industry experience to PrivateFly. We are all delighted to have him on the team and look forward to seeing him lead PrivateFly to the next level in the US region.”
Andrew Collins of OneSky added: "PrivateFly's heritage and vision for the on-demand segment has been a strong addition to the OneSky group, so adding Gregg's commercial talents into the leadership team is going to give us exciting momentum in the US market".
